Bushpig

The Bushpig is a robust, secretive and highly adaptable wild pig found across much of southern Africa. Mostly nocturnal and known for its intelligence and toughness, the Bushpig is a challenging and respected quarry among hunters.
Its coarse bristly coat varies from reddish-brown to dark grey, often with lighter facial markings, and both sexes carry sharp, curved tusks used effectively for defence. Fiercely territorial when threatened, the Bushpig has a well-earned reputation for aggression and resilience in dense bush and riverine habitats.
Average shoulder height is 65–85 cm (26–33”) with an average weight of 70–115 kg (154–254 lb).
